Promoting Pet Adoptions and Animal Welfare throughout the Tri-State Area
Let's Keep Puppy Mill Pups Out of New York State!
And help us pass Assembly Bill #A09612!
Yes, it can be done, but we need your help! This bill will stop pet stores from selling pups bred under inhumane conditions. Titled "Charlemagne's Law," bill # A09612 is the result of efforts of our member, Loriane La Marca, and Assemblyman Ball (R-Carmel) Assemblyman Ball is a true animal lover, and has been working since last year regarding passage of this bill. Ms La Marca's pup, Charlemagne, was lost to kidney disease in 2007- Charlemagne was purchased in a Long Island pet store and was a product of a puppy mill.
So please, join Loriane, Assemblyman Ball and myself and write your assemblyperson and urge them to swiftly pass this legislation- and let's get rid of Puppy Mill Pups in New York State!!!
